XAUUSD: How to Read a Failed Breakout in Gold

Failed breakouts are common in Gold. This note explains how to separate a liquidity spike from a genuine range expansion.

Gold regularly runs obvious highs and lows before reversing. That does not mean every breakout is fake. It means the first print outside a range is incomplete information.

A practical filter

Wait for the market to show whether it can hold outside the level. Acceptance is more useful than the break itself.

If price immediately collapses back into the range, treat the event as liquidity. If it holds, the failed-breakout thesis is the one that has failed.
